Minutes of November 9, 1996 Annual Meeting of the Members
Montana Cross Country “T” Association
Wheat Foundation Building
Great Falls, Montana

The 37th annual meeting of the members was called to order by President Tony Cerovski at 10:00 A.M. Seven members were present: Tony Cerovski, Janet Cerovski, Dale Schuler, George Nickol, Doug Langel, Jim Halseth, and Simon Nickol. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read. They were approved as read.
Treasurers report was read. There is $711.65 in the Norwest checking account, and $79.02 in the Western Federal account. The monies will be combined in to the Norwest account and we will close the Western Federal account. Total combined monies is $780.67. There is no savings account. The financial records were available for review.
OLD BUSINESS;
It was reported that there are 27 dues paying members to date for 1996.
Brass fobs are still available for $3.00 each.
Revised By-laws were read and signed by all directors.
Discussion of the 1996 raced asked for improvements or suggestions for the 1997 race. Suggestions were made to keep the race out of Helena, to check for tightened lug nuts, that 100 mile legs are easier for the timers, and that lunch breaks lasting 1.5 hours is fine.
NEW BUSINESS:
President Tony Cerovski brought up the idea for obtaining belt buckles for prizes and to sell. Bonnie Nickol volunteered to take the idea to the Montana Silversmith.
President Tony Cerovski asked for any proposed changes to the rules. There were none.
President Tony Cerovski opened a discussion on use of safety hubs. Doug Langel volunteered to head the committee to review photos and drawings of the Stoltz’s safety hub. Doug will give a recommendation on whether or not to add the use of safety hubs to the rules.
Model T Ford Club of America asked for pictures from the 1996 race to possibly include in an article in the Vintage Ford magazine. Any one with pictures was asked to submit them to the secretary so that we could send some them in.


Model T Ford Club of America will advertise the 1997 race in the Vintage Ford magazine at no cost.
A discussion was held on Montana Cross Country T Association becoming a chapter in the Model T Ford Club of America. For our association to become a chapter all officers must be a paid member of MTFCA, as well as 25% of the Montana Cross Country T Association membership. It was voted to become a chapter of the MTFCA.
President Tony Cerovski thanked all for the help and serenity to help run this club.
Elections were held for officers and directors. Tony Cerovski was re-elected President, Simon Nickol elected Vice-President, Janet Cerovski re-elected as Secretary/Treasurer. George Nickol, Doug Langel, and Ray Sanders were elected as directors until 1999. The ‘97 – ‘98 officers and directors are as follows:

President Tony Cerovski announced that the Pioneer and Classic Auto Club of Montana is having their Spring tour June 20 – 22 , 1997 in Kalispell.
The race route was discussed. Missoula, Miles City, Fairmont, Lewistown, and Billings were discussed. A vote was taken and Lewistown was chosen for the 1997 race. The race dates will be Monday, June 16, 1997 through Thursday, June19, 1997. Day one will be Lewistown, Fort Benton, Lewistown. Day two will be Lewistown, Grass Range, Harlowton, Lewistown. Day three will be Lewistown, Hilger, Bohemian Corner, Lewistown. Bonnie Nickol volunteered to be in charge of the Yogo Banquet arrangements.
A special thanks was given to Margie Schuler and Jim Halseth for leading the way with humorous wit and skits.
President Tony Cerovski asked for a show of hands for possible racers in 1997. There were seven.
Simon Nickol recruited two new members to add to the club’s roster – Ray Sanders and Ross Wagner both of Kalispell.
President Tony Cerovski asked if past members should be invited to participate in the race again. No comments were received.
Tony Cerovski asked if there are any roadsters available for purchase because he knows of interested people who might buy them. No response.
There was no further business so George Nickol moved to adjourn the meeting. Jim Halseth seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 12:35 P.M.
